Three kinds of day, planned differently

Families with children

Easy pacing and shorter driving legs. We choose stroller-friendly routes, build in snack and rest stops, and fit child seats on request. If the children flag at three in the afternoon, the guide changes the plan rather than pushing on.

Honeymoon and couples

Quieter viewpoints and early starts that put you at the mountain before the coaches. Private dining booked where the room is small, and unhurried days with room to sit and do nothing.

Muslim travellers

Halal and Muslim-friendly restaurants confirmed along the route before your day. Prayer times built into the schedule, prayer space located at the stops we will actually be at, and guides briefed on your dietary requirements.

Spring

Late March to mid April. Castle moats and shrine avenues, and the best light of the year for photographs.

Alps

Summer

June to August. Kamikochi and the Nagano highlands stay cool while the cities are heavy with heat.

Koyo

Late October to mid November. Nikko turns first, high on the plateau, then the colour works down the valley.

Onsen

December to March. Clear Mount Fuji mornings, snow monkeys in the hot spring, and quiet shrines.
